Plantation Trails, Tata Coffee's holiday homes in Coorg, is located in the idyllic coffee growing estates in and around Pollibetta, once renowned for its high yielding and fine flavoured Coorg Mandarins grown as an intercrop. Spread over an extensive area, these coffee estates also grow pepper; cardamom and vanilla. Follow the plantation's trails along the beautifully pruned hedges to take in the enchanting scenery of the expansive estates. Meet and listen to the coffee planters who are believed to pour their lives into every cup of coffee. And discover how India has consistently produced and exported a remarkable variety of high quality coffees for over one hundred and fifty years.

THE BUNGALOWS
The spacious, yet cozy bungalows at Plantation Trails are just right for those who want to get away from the harsh city life, but not from the comforts of home. These bungalows are situated in the undulating highlands of South Coorg at varying altitudes. |

Accommodation at Plantation Trails is clean, comfortable and spacious at any of the three bedroom or the double-storey bungalows. Enjoy acres of mind space inside the bungalows, breathe in the coffee rich air and listen to the birdsong as you stroll down the garden outside. The best part, your very own personal cook at the bungalow is always ready to serve you a sumptuous meal when you get back!

ACTIVITIES
Enjoy drives in open top jeeps through the coffee plantations at Coorg. Accompanied by well trained guides, these drives are the best way to experience coffee through the eyes of the planters. Learn how real coffee is made at the Tata Coffee plantations. Also visit the cardamom kiln and take some spices back home with you.
Bird watching is another exciting way to experience the sights and sounds of nature. Arm yourself with a pair of binoculars and a copy of the book "Feathered Jewels of Coorg" compiled by Dr.S.V.Narsimhan to spot any of the 300 species of birds.
If you are an adventurer you can trek up the hills of Coorg, and do a bit of exploring with your local guide. Who knows what you might discover here!
In the evening, you can warm yourself around a bonfire. A spectacular barbeque dinner should settle you in just in time to listen to some bedtime stories about the British Raj.
RECREATION ACTIVITIES
A golf facility at the Tata Coffee Course is available for all our guests. The golf course is easily accessible from all the bungalows. You can also indulge in some light sport by testing you skills at a game of tennis, table tennis, badminton or billiards. |
